Last week, Megamind gross sale was $47.7m to dominate box office and for the second time, Megamind was able to repeat the domination with slightly lower gross sales of $30.1 M. Last week’s box office was surely a stiff one, Megamind competes with newly open movie and not just newly opened but also packed with huge Hollywood stars.

Megamind wins another week in box office
Rachel Adams, Harrison Ford and Denzel Washington jumped over the box office battle but it seems Megamind was able to retained its glory on its week. At third spot is last week’s number two, Robert Downey’s Due Date earned only $15.5 to make it to the third spot of our weekend’s top five countdown. Due Date must have a good quality for viewers to like the movie and stayed in our top five.
At number four spot is one of the newly opened movies last week. Skyline, a sci-fi thriller from sibling filmmakers Greg and Colin Strause starring Eric Balfour. Skyline earned at least $11.7M to make to our top five box office of the week.
Lastly, our top five for the week is Morning Glory. Although Harrison Ford and Rachel Adams starred the comedy movie, it seems not a sure ticket to win a box office.

Third is For Colored Girls, movie by Tyler Perry, an adaptation of the acclaimed play “For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf,”. Saw 3D dubbed as the final installment of the movie after its six bloody sequels. The suspense movie seems scared away the Paranormal Activity 2 from its position at number at box office last week. According to movie analysts, the gruesome killer Jigsaw seems to have attracted younger audience to sold $24.2 M worth of ticket sales for its opening. Saw 3D now ended its sequels happily with a huge earning on its opening.

At second spot for weekly top five movie box office was number one last week, Paranormal Activity 2, although it’s already Halloween but the movie seems to have scared enough audience and make their ticket sales went down until last weekend. Third place is Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman’s Red, the two veteran actors still proven their skills to stay to our weekly countdown with another $10.8M ticket sales.
Jackass 3D may have dropped from number 2 from our last week’s top five box office countdown to number four this week but the good side is that the movie was able to break gross sales of $100M by adding $8.4M ticket sales over the weekend. Finally, our top five of the week is Hereafter with just $6.3M worth of ticket sales. Hereafter is also one of the dropper from our weekly top list which dropped one notch down.
