Paypal will soon be available on Google’s Android phones as Ebay and Google talks goes on.
With credit cards and Google’s Checkout only available payment on smartphone, app developer seems to sway away from developing apps to the said mobile device. Compare to Apple iTunes, users can easily by apps with one touch since payment information are already available.
On the other hand, Google’s Checkout isn’t popular as Paypal which has 87 million active accounts. By having Paypal, Google may attract more paying Android users.
Android only have 70,000 available apps compare to 225,000 apps available on Apple devices but integrating Paypal, Android will most likely increase app developers by making it easy to accept payments.
The said service is yet to be confirmed since Google and PayPal declined to comment on the report. Based on Bloomberg’s report, the Paypal service app will soon be available this year said Bloomberg’s source who are still unnamed since discussions are not publicly available.
