1987 Wall Street’s Best Actor Michael Douglas unfortunately has throat cancer and will undergo chemotherapy for eight weeks, told by his company to The Post.
“Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” the sequel of the film which gave Michael an award is about to be in promotion period might be hurt with the condition of the actor although he’s “very optimistic” as told to People.com

Michael Douglas’ treatment and radiation exposure will be very tough for him and Dr. Jennifer Ashton, CBS News Medical Correspondent supported this by saying on “The Early Show”
“Radiation to the mouth … can be difficult. Usually, (it’s) very effective, about 50 to 80 percent of these types of cancers can be cured. However, radiation does damage cells, it can make swallowing very difficult, it can give you sores in your mouth.”
Dr. Ashton also explained the possible cause saying, “environmental risk factors, such as smoking, heavy alcohol use, exposure to certain environmental chemicals, can affect your chances of throat cancer.”
In the “Wall Street” sequel, Douglas’ will act as the greedy broker Gordon Gekko as he was from the prequel. The movie revolves 20 years after its original during in the 2008 financial crisis.
The Wall Street gave Michael Douglas’ a chance to earned the following awards, Academy Award for Best Actor, David di Donatello for Best Actor
Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Motion Picture Drama, Kansas City Film Critics Circle Award for Best Actor, Nastro d’Argento best Foreign Actor, National Board of Review Award for Best Actor.
